Indianapolis, Indiana 8-13-20
Truckshow.org LLC, (Camby, IN) the producers of the 17th Annual Slamology Automotive and Music Festival, announced today that the postponed 2020 event will be further postponed until June 12-13, 2021 and is once again slated to take place at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Donnie Babb, president of Gauge Media Group Inc. (Camby, IN) and promoter of Slamology, said in a statement today, “With the current rise of Covid-19 cases in Indiana and across the country, the decision to postpone the event for the safety of our staff, sponsors, vendors, participants, and spectators was a unanimous vote across our management team. In 2019, Slamology had participants from 43 states and 7 countries. It is truly the only event of its kind in the world, and we were expecting our largest event to date. Having seen exceptional growth for the past few years we know people are hungry for entertainment, and Slamology never disappoints with a good alternative family friendly weekend. We are looking forward to holding the event next June as things get back to normal. We will see you next year.”
Jose Telle, owner of Orion Car Audio (Miami, FL), said in a statement, “We have supported Slamology as the co-title sponsor with Gauge Magazine for the past 3 years and plan to do the same into the future. With many states having travel bans and virus cases increasing by the day, we feel that Donnie and his staff are making the correct moral decision to postpone into 2021. We will all get through these tough times together as a community and come back together in Indianapolis next year for a celebration of everything with cool cars.”
Co-sponsor Sky High Car Audio (Sparks, NV) CEO Jon Rabe reported that he is behind postponing Slamology 100%. Mr. Rabe stated, “As Americans we need to come together! The virus is real, but we need to move forward with normal life at some point. We are excited to bring back our entire custom car and audio displays to Slamology in June of 2021. Our company has seen so many positive results from our sponsorship with the event, we honestly would never miss it!”
