***Remember it is your responsibility to bring your vehicle through Drive Through Judging. If you do not get judged you will not be eligible for any Car show awards.
Slamology Judging Tips and Tricks: Provided by the Judging Staff
TURN YOUR STEREO OFF WHILE IN JUDGING LANES
1. There are separate lanes for cars and trucks.
Please watch for signs and make sure you enter the correct
lane for your vehicle.
2. Judges are not able to change your vehicle class, except in extreme cases.
3. The following things (while they may earn you a short term friend) will not earn ANY extra points:
a. Offering a Judge money
b. Offering a Judge drinks
c. Leaving the air conditioning cranked
d. And/or having your girlfriend drive your car through judging
4. Take all belongings that you do not want judged OUT of the vehicle.
This includes:
a. Trash
b. Cleaning supplies
c. Boyfriend/Girlfriend
d. Any other friends
e. Your self
5. Judging is conducted on a points system.
Parts of your vehicle that can not be seen by a Judge can not be judged
and you receive ZERO points.
Remember, a few points are better than no points. Open the following:
a. Hood
b. Trunk
c. As many doors as possible
6. Tell the Judge anything that you have done to your vehicle that you
think they may overlook. Assume that the Judge knows nothing
about your particular kind of vehicle.
7. Do not ask to see your score. It has been a rule for years that
participants do not see their scores. It is NOT going to change.
You may, however, ask for a Judge’s input….They are here to help.
8. Exit the judging area as soon as you are done.
If you have to wait for a club member that you are afraid will get lost,
please find a spot to wait that DOES NOT SLOW TRAFFIC.
9. NO vehicles are to be left in the judging area,
unless there is an uncontrollable mechanical issue.
10. Please remember, judging is completely subjective.
You are asking another automotive enthusiast to critique your work.
The Judges ask that you DO NOT Critique theirs.
Please, RESPECT THE JUDGES DECISIONS FOR AWARDS.
